I would like to share a story.

I am currently pleasantly wrapping up our endlessly warm spring and heading towards a new summer. It feels like a season where I will soon miss the cold dawn air and the cool breeze brushing against my cheeks.

To prepare for this album, I traveled a bit far for the first time in a while.

Although it wasn't a trip, the thought of going somewhere far brought me quite a thrill. The time spent preparing, the pleasant unexpected encounters, the difficult situations I never anticipated, and the fortunate events that came as gifts. And as I went through that long journey, I might have spent a tedious but necessary time of endurance, or perhaps I met unexpectedly kind people who gave me the strength to enjoy that journey even more. Each of these experiences is like a piece of tile that ultimately adds to my journey, and I thought that my journey would beautifully complete itself through all these experiences.

Thinking about that, I naturally began to think about 'my song'. And I thought that perhaps creating a song is like going on a journey.

You can read more about my story in the album, but writing a song, attaching lyrics, arranging it, and finally meeting the people who listen to my song, I consider all of these to be part of the process of creating my song. While making a song, I face the long-held time and memories I have, bring out my hidden voice, refine it, and jot down the words that come to mind during that process. The feelings and thoughts I record and create, when you choose and play my song, and in listening to my song, you sometimes feel the emotions of comfort or excitement that I felt while creating the song. I believe that this series of fragments beautifully completes the process of my song journey. And I felt truly happy while thinking about and preparing all of this.

Thinking this way, I feel like I haven't finished my journey yet. It may never end. As long as I keep choosing words, capturing voices, and making sounds, and you listen to my songs. I don't even know exactly where the destination of my journey is. I am just, very happy in this time of preparing for the journey. Because I already know that I don't have to reach the destination to be happy.

So, I plan to light a candle and make a wish again this birthday.

I hope you will always be with me on this journey without a destination.
May our uncertain journey be slow and long-lasting.
