Following their victory in the Mnet competition program ‘Road to Kingdom’ and the runner-up position in ‘Kingdom’, THE BOYZ returns with new music after about 11 months since the release of their 5th mini album [CHASE]. The 6th mini album [THRILL-ING], themed around the word ‘thrill’ which best fits the hot summer season, incorporates various meanings of ‘thrill’ into the tracks, providing exhilarating, enchanting, and sometimes chilling emotions, structured in an omnibus format.

The title track ‘THRILL RIDE’ offers the most common meaning of ‘thrill’ [exhilaration] with its attractive and unique hip-hop genre. ‘Out Of Control’ presents a dynamic development that feels like running out of control, providing a ‘fantastic’ sensation. ‘Dancing Till We Drop’ evokes the feeling of watching the movie ‘La La Land’ with its lively and exciting contemporary sound and disco mood. ‘Nightmares (黑花)’ combines dark pop and R&B in a desperate yet somewhat [chilling] version of THE BOYZ's signature ‘Mon Series’. ‘Merry Bad Ending’ maximizes emotions with unique synth sounds expressing heartbeats, evoking a bittersweet [thrill] through paradoxical lyrics about a happy yet sad ending. Finally, ‘B.O.Y (Bet On You)’ ends with a confession filled with the romance and [excitement] of a summer night, in the minimal and trendy sound of guitar pop.
