In 2022, Bak Chang Geun, who announced the new revival of Korean folk music and won the TV Chosun competition 'Tomorrow is National Singer', presents his EP 'Re:born'. In the midst of praise from renowned figures in the Korean music scene such as Song Chang-sik, Jeon Young-rok, and Kim Soo-hee, Bak Chang Geun's second EP includes five songs that have undergone new arrangements. The lyrics, capturing moments of life with Bak Chang Geun's unique warm and cheerful perspective, have been reborn in 2022 under the name 'Re:born'. The album 'Re:born', filled with the romanticism of analog emotions that spans generations, is a collection of snapshots sharing the moments of Bak Chang Geun's journey, showcasing his honest self to listeners.

1. Standing Again Before Your Love (2022 Re:born)
The pain that is inevitably accompanied to solidify the essential self is 'reflection'. This song has been sleeping for a long time as an unreleased track for over 20 years. Thanks to the love of everyone who cherished it with affection every time it was presented in performances, it has been dressed in a new arrangement. Thanks to all of you who have consistently sought out this song, I was able to prepare it beautifully for the world.

2. Mom (2022 Re:born)
This song was created while recalling past times with my mother for a scene depicting my departed mother during a small theater musical. It reflects my simple memories of my mother during a challenging childhood and my father who passed away first. In the latter part of this EP, I aimed to capture the feelings of those who want to call out to all departed mothers in the world.

3. Regret
A long time ago, my brother who writes took me to karaoke and sang this song with all his heart. Since that day, 'Regret' has become my favorite song and has occasionally graced the stage of small performances after going through my own arrangement. The small vibrations of breath are clear and calm, yet it soon becomes a storm of desperation. It became a song that I sing without regret but leaves me with regret.

4. The Love of a Stony Man (2022 Re:born)
People often say that Gyeongsang-do men are like stones. I found the title interesting and got this song from the original songwriter, saying I wanted to remake it. I suddenly became curious about the original lyrics that were rough before I touched them. Is this brother still like a stone?

5. Like the Wind That Does Not Get Caught in a Net (2022 Re:born)
A verse from the Dhammapada that left a mark on my heart long ago. The name of a small shop I encountered in the back alleys of a lit city was also the same. What was the shop owner thinking when deciding on the name? Perhaps freedom is like that even within the system I need?
