Monsta X releases their 12th mini album 'REASON', telling the story of their 'reason' for being, built on impeccable teamwork. While their previous work 'SHAPE of LOVE' conveyed various shades of love, this album seeks to find a clear reason for existence within various relationships and to discover each other's significance. It will definitively prove Monsta X's presence, further highlighting their unique color.

'REASON' is a reflection on the current state of Monsta X, eight years into their journey. It delves into the success, trials, efforts against fear, and all the emotions of consolation encountered during this intense period, aiming to discover the value of their relationship with fans among numerous connections. It conveys a message of a solid belief in relationships that do not necessarily need reasons to exist, eventually becoming more meaningful to each other.

The title track 'Beautiful Liar' sings about the reason for love found in the most extreme and dangerous relationship. It's a rhythmic and powerful punk rock style song, with addictive beats and Monsta X's vocal performances delivering intense immersion. Especially, the dangerous message unfolding amidst tension, combined with dramatic electronic guitar sounds and beats, conveys a dramatic sensation. Hyungwon, showcasing a wide spectrum, produced 'LONE RANGER' with a distinctive Western sound, and I.M produced the irresistible R&B track 'Deny'.
