5. Hair dye (oxidative and non-oxidative)
a) Do not use if you belong to the following groups. There is a possibility of becoming hypersensitive or experiencing skin adverse reactions (swelling, inflammation, etc.) or worsening current symptoms after use.
(1) If you have previously experienced swelling from a bleaching agent containing 'persulfate' that is mixed with this product, or if you have felt nausea or vomiting during or immediately after use (this is only indicated for hair dyes containing 'persulfate').
(2) If you have previously experienced skin adverse reactions (swelling, inflammation, etc.) when using hair dyes, or if you have experienced rashes, redness, itching, etc. during or immediately after dyeing, or felt nausea or vomiting.
(3) If you have experienced adverse reactions from a skin test (patch test).
(4) If you have sores, wounds, or skin diseases on your scalp, face, or neck.
(5) If you are menstruating, pregnant, or may become pregnant.
(6) If you are recovering from childbirth, illness, or have any other physical abnormalities.
(7) If you have special constitution, kidney disease, or blood disease.
(8) If you have persistent mild fever, fatigue, palpitations, or difficulty breathing, or if you frequently have nosebleeds or have difficulty stopping other bleeding symptoms.
(9) This product contains propylene glycol as an additive, which may cause allergies; if you have been hypersensitive or had allergic reactions to this ingredient, consult a doctor or pharmacist before use (this is only indicated for products containing propylene glycol).
b) Precautions before using hair dye
(1) Conduct a patch test at least 48 hours before dyeing according to the following steps. A patch test is a test to check if you have any adverse reactions to the hair dye. Even if you have dyed your hair without any issues in the past, allergies or other side effects may occur due to changes in your constitution, so always conduct the test.
① First, wash the skin on the inside of your arm or behind your ear with soapy water and lightly wipe it with a cotton pad.
② Next, take a small amount of this product, mix it according to the prescribed method, and prepare a test solution.
③ Apply the test solution to the previously cleaned area in a coin-sized amount, let it dry naturally, and leave it for 48 hours (be mindful of the time).
④ Observe the test area at 30 minutes and 48 hours after applying the test solution. If you notice any rashes, redness, itching, blisters, irritation, or other skin abnormalities, do not touch the area and wash it off immediately; do not dye your hair. If you feel any of the above skin abnormalities during the test, even before 48 hours, stop the test immediately, wash off the test solution, and do not dye your hair.
⑤ If no abnormalities occur within 48 hours, proceed with dyeing.
(2) Do not use on eyebrows, eyelashes, etc., as it is dangerous. There is a risk of dye getting into the eyes. Do not dye any area other than the hair.
(3) Do not dye immediately after shaving.
(4) Do not perm or wave (permanent wave) for one week before and after dyeing.
c) Precautions during dyeing
(1) Ensure that the dye or water does not get into your eyes while dyeing your hair. If it gets into your eyes, it can cause severe pain or, in some cases, damage (inflammation of the cornea). If it does get into your eyes, do not rub them with your hands; rinse thoroughly with water or lukewarm water for more than 15 minutes and seek immediate examination by an ophthalmologist. Do not use eye drops or any other remedies on your own.
(2) Do not take a bath or wet your hair before dyeing. There is a risk of dye getting into your eyes through sweat or droplets.
(3) If you experience skin abnormalities such as rashes, redness, swelling, itching, or strong irritation, or if you feel nausea or vomiting during dyeing, stop dyeing immediately and wash off the dye thoroughly. Leaving it on may worsen the symptoms.
(4) If the dye gets on your skin, wash it off immediately with water. Wear gloves to protect your fingers and nails while dyeing.
(5) Dye in a well-ventilated area.
d) Precautions after dyeing
(1) If you experience skin abnormalities such as rashes, redness, itching, blisters, or irritation on your head, face, or neck, do not scratch or rub the area and seek immediate examination by a dermatologist. Avoid using any medications on your own.
(2) If you feel unwell during or after dyeing, consult a doctor.
e) Precautions for Storage and Handling
(1) Do not store the mixed dye in a sealed container. There is a risk of the container breaking due to gas pressure from the mixed solution, which is dangerous. Additionally, the mixed dye may splash and contaminate the surroundings, making it difficult to clean. The remaining mixed solution is ineffective, so it should be disposed of immediately.
(2) When disposing of the container, make sure to open the lid before disposal.
(3) Store any unmixed solution away from direct sunlight and avoid contact with air in a cool place.
