Catch The Young's second mini album [Catch The Young : Fragments of Odyssey] has been released. As a sequel to the debut album [Catch The Young : Fragments of Youth], this album allows you to meet another chapter of the youth story told through the music of Catch The Young from the previous album.

Since their debut, Catch The Young has showcased continuous performances and diverse content. In particular, last December, just a month after their debut, they held a Christmas commemorative solo concert [Santa The Young], making winter even more meaningful for their fans, and in January, they proved their global capabilities as a band by breathing with Japanese fans through performances in Japan. Additionally, they have consistently communicated with fans through various stages, continuing their unique and attractive live performances.

Through the music they create, Catch The Young tells stories of various emotions that can be encountered in the long journey of life, like an adventure, in this mini 2 album [Catch The Young : Fragments of Odyssey]. Just like a ship sailing on the vast sea, our lives cannot predict what will happen even a moment ahead. While we hope for only predictable and enjoyable things, we inevitably encounter unwanted events like rain, wind, and storms. In the midst of that, the excitement, fear, joy, sadness, and even more emotions felt are expressed in Catch The Young's unique way, creating an album filled with them. Through this album, we will share all the moments discovered in the journey of self that is depicted in various ways and understand our life adventure more deeply.

This album consists entirely of self-composed songs by the members, highlighting Catch The Young's musicality and authenticity. The title track ‘Voyager’ musically expresses the message of Catch The Young that even if everyone lives in different forms, we can beautifully harmonize and live together. The first track ‘Sentimental Journey’ expresses the content of moving forward with the dreams of pure childhood through a lively band sound. The third track ‘The Legend’ is a powerful Post-Rock genre song, with impressive lyrics inspired by the professional gamer Faker. The fourth track ‘Always, Forever’ is a song that honestly expresses the feelings of love and affection, uniquely conveying the song's message through its bouncy piano sound. The fifth track ‘The moment everything I imagined comes true (About Us)’ showcases the advantages of a multi-vocal band without reservation, expressing the overwhelming sound of reuniting with memories each person has, and the sixth track ‘Be my light (1101)’ is, as the title suggests, Catch The Young's first fan song, expressing gratitude towards fans who always stay with Catch The Young with warm-toned vocals and various guitar sounds. The last track ‘Stay By My Side’ is an attractive song with rich sound contrasting gentle piano melodies and strong drum beats, conveying the message that if we trust and rely on each other through any hardships and adversities, we can overcome anything.

As the song that starts the journey of this album, the lively guitar sound of Gi-hun and the rhythmic drums of Jung-mo, along with San-i's bass performance, express the positive energy unique to Catch The Young, as exciting as the word ‘Journey’ sounds. If the first track of the first album [Catch The Young : Fragments of Youth] contained the current story about the path I want to take, “Sentimental Journey” contains the past and future stories of Catch The Young, recalling the pure dreams of childhood while continuing to move forward.

02 Voyager

Lyrics : San-i, Gi-hun, AIVAN, KRAX / Composition : San-i, Gi-hun, Jung-mo

The title track of this album, “Voyager”, is an Alternative Pop-Rock genre song that contains an attractive track of drums leading the composition with instruments that evoke lyrical emotions and diverse changes. When you let your body follow the rhythm of this song, you can discover yourself floating like a boat on the waves. Even if it is not necessarily a romantic relationship, the song expresses the will to navigate silently through the distance of hearts between loved ones, arriving at the destination where each other's true feelings ultimately communicate. In particular, the exquisite harmony of Gi-hun's guitar riff and San-i's bass riff, both playing different parts in the main theme, musically expresses Catch The Young's message that even if everyone lives in different forms, we can beautifully harmonize and live together.
