This mini album is Hwang Yeong-woong's first mini album and his debut album as a singer, titled [Autumn, Longing].
[Autumn, Longing] tells stories of various longings we hold in our hearts, such as for our mothers, lovers, past times, and unforgettable memories, and carries a message hoping that listeners will recall their own longings as the emotionally rich season of autumn arrives. This mini album consists of six trot songs, reflecting Hwang Yeong-woong's determination to maintain the legacy of traditional trot among many young trot singers who cross genres. Many renowned composers in the trot industry participated, resulting in a high-quality trot album, expected to quench the thirst for substantial adult contemporary music.
The title track of [Autumn, Longing] is [Flower Viewing] by composer Wi Jong-soo, known for composing Cool's [Aloha] and Lee Jae-hoon's [I Love You], along with [Let's Be Together] by Song Kwang-ho and Kim Cheol-in, which was a new song in Hwang Yeong-woong's final round of the Burning Trotman competition. Notably, [Flower Viewing] is an emotional trot song that best expresses Hwang Yeong-woong's mid-low voice, capturing a son's heartfelt desire to show autumn flowers to his departed mother. The emotional lyrics, reminiscent of watching a movie, evoke nostalgia with a retro sound, creating a luxurious atmosphere. The synergy of Hwang Yeong-woong's deep mid-low voice and the chilly autumn weather is expected to maximize the autumn sentiment. The double title track [Let's Be Together] is a fan song expressing gratitude to waiting fans, with Hwang Yeong-woong participating in the lyrics to add authenticity to the ballad trot.
