Singing his own story that resembles the vast sea, artist Im Hyunsik announces his second solo mini album [The Young Man and the Deep Sea].

Following his first mini album [RENDEZ-VOUS] after about five years, the anticipation grows for the stories he will share in his second mini album [The Young Man and the Deep Sea]. While his previous album sincerely sang his own stories about meetings and connections, relationships between people, and love through the metaphor of space, this album expresses a deeper musical world and his perspective on the 'sea' as its theme.

This album, which began with his ambition to create an album themed around the sea ever since his first solo song 'SWIMMING' was released, is also led by him. Im Hyunsik, who filled the entire album with his own compositions and participated in the planning of the album concept, design, and music video, worked with the hope that the 'sea' as he sees it would sincerely reach the public. As seen in his commentary, "As I got older and lived through life, I felt that both my life and I myself are like the sea," it invites us to imagine what kind of colors, sounds, atmosphere, and temperature "Im Hyunsik's sea" might have, offering a deeper emotional experience when listening to his music.

Im Hyunsik's story about the 'sea' crosses various genres without being confined to any single one, unfolding with an alternative sound. He has always enjoyed reading "The Old Man and the Sea," and this mini album is named as an homage to it. Im Hyunsik wanted to show the sea (myself) of a grown young man no longer a boy in his 30s, which resembles the steadfast attitude and wisdom with which the old man in the novel faces life. The meaning of the 'sea' to Im Hyunsik, the process he has gone through, and whether he is now on a smooth sailing journey, are worth following along through this album.

The title track 'La Mar (Lonely Sea)' music video contains Im Hyunsik's passion as he participated in its planning. All the sea scenes in the music video were shot by Im Hyunsik himself, who took diving training in preparation for the album to produce beautiful results. The vision of the sea as experienced by Im Hyunsik himself is vividly captured in the video.

Im Hyunsik's mini album [The Young Man and the Deep Sea] holds 'light and shadow' as an important message, from the first track 'The Tides of Life' to the third track 'Deep Blue Sea' representing the 'shadow' part, and from the fourth track 'Sunshine' to the last track 'Swimming (Reimagined Ver.)' representing the 'light' part. When the track returns from the sixth track to the first track, it starts a cycle again, expressing the repetition of meetings, partings, and the light and shadow in life. First of all, when you apply it, it gives a glow and doesn't feel dry. Also, it isn't greasy or sticky! I'm using it in my nighttime skincare routine. I use all of ClearDea's products, and they're definitely good — it seems to really help with barrier care, so I'll keep using it.
