Formed through the global audition project 'Nizi Project' conducted by JYP and Sony Music Entertainment in June 2020, NiziU consists of nine members: Mako, Riku, Rima, Rio, Maya, Miihi, Mayuka, Ayaka, and Nina. Before their official debut, they achieved simultaneous No. 1 rankings in three digital categories, including Oricon digital album, digital single, and streaming weekly charts with their pre-debut digital album 'Make you happy' and the title track of the same name, marking their emergence as 'super rookies'. While wandering through the forest, they accidentally discover a switch that can fix the sound in a space they fell into through a hole.
