The stormy voyage of TEMPEST, now more mature, with the release of ‘TEMPEST Voyage’

After releasing [Before the Storm] and [Into the Storm] last year, TEMPEST returns with their fifth mini album [TEMPEST Voyage], solidifying the group's identity. The fifth mini album [TEMPEST Voyage] is the culmination of the ‘storm’ series and captures TEMPEST's present as they embark on a journey into a wider world.

In this album, TEMPEST reveals their imperfect and chaotic inner selves as if navigating the vast ocean, explaining ‘the reason we chose this voyage’. Unlike previous works that mainly showcased powerful and bright energy, they express a more mature TEMPEST through poignant and sophisticated music and performances.

The title track ‘LIGHTHOUSE’ of the fifth mini album [TEMPEST Voyage] encapsulates the story of TEMPEST, who has become stronger through inner growing pains. Their determination to become a presence that brightly illuminates even the darkest and roughest seas stands out.

Additionally, in this album, members ‘LEW’, ‘Hwarang’, as well as ‘Hyuk’ and ‘Tae-rae’ participated in the lyrics, drawing attention. This not only includes genuine stories and musical interpretations that only TEMPEST can tell but also indicates that TEMPEST's musical spectrum is gradually expanding.

TEMPEST, which is receiving much love from global fans in Korea, Japan, Vietnam, and beyond, is growing step by step, and it will be interesting to see what their stormy voyage will look like.

01 LIGHTHOUSE
LIGHTHOUSE is an exciting Deep HOUSE track with added POP elements, featuring a melody that feels both emotional and grand. Produced by 72 (Choi Jae-hyuk) along with hitmakers AVENUE 52 (Sean Alexander), SQVARE (Drew Ryan Scott), BANGKOK (David Anthony), and lyricist Jo Yoon-kyung, with members ‘LEW’ and ‘Hwarang’ contributing to the lyrics, enhancing the song's completeness. The lyrics metaphorically express TEMPEST's inner growing pains as a ‘voyage’ and their commitment to being a “LIGHTHOUSE for you.”

There is a song that expresses regret over moments that passed by unnoticed, singing about hope for a second chance. It serves as a comforting reminder that even in tough times, our pure days are always there.

B.O.K is a track that stands out with its refreshing and intense guitar sound, featuring lyrics by members ‘LEW’, ‘Hwarang’, ‘Hyuk’, and ‘Tae-rae’, enhancing TEMPEST's youthful and emotional atmosphere. The dramatic lyrics saying “I can do anything as long as you are here” and the positive energy make it an easy-listening track that showcases the strengths of TEMPEST's voices.

04 Slow Motion
A song that captures the Y2K sentiment in the RNB/POP genre, featuring a cool groove and catchy chorus, showcasing a new side of TEMPEST. The lyrics depict a man in love who wishes to love slowly like a movie.
